Be enterprising in the workplace
Ever-increasing competition and greater demands from customers and clients mean that innovation has to be high on any organisation’s agenda. If you’re serious about innovation you need to look not just to technology, but also to your employees for solutions.
Employees at all levels and across all parts of any organisation will have a wealth of ideas and will offer them willingly if encouraged to do so, recognised for their efforts and, most importantly, if their ideas are actioned.
Harnessing employees’ ideas can deliver wider benefits too. Staff turnover, productivity, motivation and employee satisfaction should also be improved and are good not only for the organisation but also for employees.
The Make Your Mark at Work toolkit
The new Make Your Mark at Work Toolkit will help you make the most of the talent in your workplace and deliver bottom line benefits to your organisation.
Within each section of the toolkit we focus on practical recommendations that can be easily implemented within the workplace. It also includes case studies and best practice examples from companies of all shapes and sizes who are already seeing the benefits of encouraging employees to make their mark.
The first two areas the toolkit is focusing on are ideas at work and networking. Over the next 12 months we will add further content and look at other workplace issues and opportunities. We’d like your feedback and suggestions as to what you’d like to see within the toolkit. We’d also like to know how you encourage your employees to be enterprising so we can use your ideas to inspire others.
