Oliver Bridge

Proving that some entrepreneurs can turn their hand to anything, Oliver Bridge set up a specialist footwear website as a teenager and now runs a property site as well as an online support group.

Oliver’s first business, ‘Bigger Feet’, was launched in 2004 when Oliver was only 15. Buying extra-large shoes direct from the manufacturers, Oliver started selling to family and school friends, and then discovered there was a huge potential market via the internet. As a web-based business, Bigger Feet’s Being costs were kept low so the shoes are sold at a very reasonable price.

Oliver was awarded for his hard work by winning the Teen category of the Enterprising Young Brits competition 2005. He has appeared on BBC Breakfast and was also one of the stars in The Money Programme’s Teenage Tycoons programme. Age was never a barrier to Oliver – proving that if you have a great dea, there’s nothing to stop you going for it!

You might think that having achieved all of this as a teenager, Oliver would take a well-earned break. In fact, he has two new ventures on the go! After selling Bigger Feet, Oliver went into property. He and his mum bought and renovated a French gite which they now rent out to holidaymakers and eventually plan to auction for charity.

Oliver has also set up an online support group for people looking to make positive changes in their lives. Things are going to change brings people together with experts as well as others who have been in the same situation to help find solutions and offer advice.
