Samata Angel

With a degree in Economics, Finance and Management behind her, Samata was able to use her business knowledge to transform her dream into a successful business.

She adds, “I am a self-taught designer who is passionate about fashion. I wanted to share that interest with other people. The experience has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done.”

The ability and freedom to express her creativity is what Samata sees as the main advantage to owning her own business. She explains, “I’ve learnt so much and developed so many skills through my fashion line – I have had to work hard but it was faith in my own abilities which proved to be the key to my success.”

Samata’s business and creativity has won her numerous awards. She received an award in 2006 for Best Couture Line at the UK Urban Fashion Awards and won the prestigious ‘Exceptionally Creative’ award at the British Female Inventor and Inventor of the Year Awards in 2007. Her label has been showcased at events including The Clothes Show Live, The Face of Asia and The Festival of Youth Arts.

Samata aims to expand her brand internationally, and after that she intends to pursue her interest in other creative areas such as music and acting. For someone who can include Jennifer Lopez and Gwen Stefani among supporters of her fashion line, the future is looking very bright!
