Ranbir Sahota
Ranbir Sahota, founder of Vitis PR, firmly believes that a company will be most successful when its employees work in the most productive way. With this in mind, she set up Vitis PR, offering flexible working patterns more in line with the commitments of modern life.
How did your business idea come about?
I moved from London to the West Midlands and noticed a gap in the market for PR companies that offered a flexible working pattern for employees, such as working mums who don’t want the work politics and all the travel. So I set up a “lifestyle” working environment where people can work from home but still provide an excellent service (a lot of my staff have been working mums!). The modern way of living is changing and I believe that work patterns should also change to account for this.
What would your advice be to someone thinking about setting up their own business?
Do lots of research into your idea. Get a mentor early on and ask for advice from trusted people who have set up their own businesses. But don’t get too bogged down in it - if you really think it will work just go for it! Have self belief.
