Georgie Francis, now 27, set up White Cotton Cards five years ago, and in that time the company has grown from a bedroom-based venture to a team of 30 staff and fourteen agents.

The company specialises in creating bespoke, handmade greetings cards and gifts, including photo albums, notebooks and keepsake boxes with a reputation for superior quality and attention to detail.

White Cotton Cards supplies more than 2,000 shops nationwide including Harrods, Selfridges, Paperchase and Clinton Cards. It has since created the sub-division White Cotton Weddings and has recently expanded into cuddly toys, with the award winning ‘Cotton Hart’ bunny being the star of the range.

White Cotton Cards won the highest award for handmade cards in the UK 2003-4 and ‘Best fun, Trend & Graphic’ range 2004-5 and has been nominated a further eight times including for the Greetings Card award at the ‘Gift of the Year’ awards 2005. More recently, Georgie was nominated last year for the ‘Best Cute Range’ - against the famous Eeyore - and won Gift of the year ‘Design-Led Greeting Cards 2007’ for her stunning Jigsaw cards.
