Eryca Freemantle - Faces The Facts

After a horrific accident changed Eyrca Freemantle life forever, she decided to take control and set up her own business.

Eyrca Freemantle is the managing director of Face the Facts, a make- up school established in 2003 and a freelance make-up artist working with the likes of Yasmin Le Bon, Whitney Houston and Mica Paris. As an entrepreneur, Eyrca is able to juggle the creative and practical sides of business however her success would come after a major incident changed her life forever.

Accepting Setbacks

25 years ago Eyrca was seriously hurt in a car accident that would see the left side of her face badly scared, a near amputation of her right leg and permanent hair loss. After being told that she would never walk again, Eyrca decided to prove the doctors wrong and finally achieve her dreams of working in the fashion industry.

With such visible scares on her face, she began to learn about corrective make-up techniques and using this new found knowledge she laid the foundations of her continued success as a freelance make-up artist. Eyrca’s work has featured in style bibles like British Vogue, i-D and Elle and she has been able to mix both her work as a make-up artist with her teaching. As MD of Face the Facts, Eyrca is able to travel around world and share her knowledge.
