A4E get Snap Happy in 2008!

Private sector company, A4E, launched the 'improve lives quick, take a pic' competition.

A4E - a private sector training company designing, developing and delivering front line public services that benefit individuals, organisations and communities. - launched the ‘Improve Lives Quick & Take a Pic’ competition. With hundred of programmes to help the unemployed, offenders, young people and specialist groups, there were lots of opportunities to be enterprising in the workplace ensuring their customers receive the very best service.

The competition was a cross-company challenge involving over 200 members of staff from A4E offices across the UK. They followed the traditional ‘Make Your Mark approach’ of a snappy task title that participants could interpret in a number of ways! The aim of the challenge was to showcase how enterprising their employees are when supporting clients.

Over 30 entries were collated onto a Heroes Gallery on the intranet with an awards ceremony attended by Emma Harrison, Founder of A4E and star of Channel 4’s, Secret Millionaire! The event created a lot of enthusiasm during the week, raised employee skills and offered an opportunity to meet with colleagues from other parts of the business.

Sally Orlopp, Director of Education & Enterprise at A4E says: “A4e is often described as an enterprising organisation and getting involved with Make Your Mark is the perfect way to prove it. Staff have displayed some really innovative approaches to helping our clients and at the same time showing that they enjoy their work. Bring on 2009!”
