Enterprising Young Brits 2007
The winners of Enterprising Young Brits 2007 were announced at the awards ceremony, which was also attended by Gordon Brown and John Hutton.
Daily Mail Enterprising Young Brits, supported by Vodafone, is a national competition to recognise young people who have turned their ideas into reality.

Part of the Make Your Mark campaign, the competition is open to people aged 30 or under who have grown their own idea, exploited an opportunity, or developed a new way of doing things.
Vodafone's partnership with Enterprising Young Brits is part of its ongoing commitment to supporting small businesses.
Categories
- Business Entrepreneur: For enterprising individuals who have started their own business, large or small.
- Social and Community: For ventures combining the principals of a successful business with an emphasis on the social and environmental benefits it can provide.
- Teen: For anybody aged 13-19 who is making an idea happen.
- Creative: For enterprising individuals, businesses and endeavours that have shown creative flair.
- High Growth Business: For start-ups that can demonstrate rapid and sustained business growth.
Award supporters
Karren Brady, Managing Director of Birmingham City Football Club will sit on a judging panel alongside representatives from sponsors Vodafone and the Daily Mail, HM Treasury, the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform and the Make Your Mark campaign.
She comments, “There are some amazing individuals out there running brilliant businesses at a very young age and it’s great to give them a chance to shout about their success. We need more young people out there trying their hand at business initiatives and the winners of this year’s competition are the excellent role models who can help inspire the next generation.”
Kyle Whitehill, fellow judge and Director of the Enterprise Business Unit at Vodafone, comments: “Young people have an awful lot of creativity and good business brains. Due to advances in technology young people are now able to set up a company really easily, and many are taking advantage of this.”
