I love architecture and appreciate big iconic buildings but I’m more interested in how humans interact with space in the public realm. I also want people to be inspired by their environment, to remember what it’s like to be playful and enjoy it.

“When I qualified as an architect I decided to set up on my own because I couldn’t find anyone to work for who was doing the things I dreamed of. I started off trying to get clients but didn’t have a portfolio so I approached potential clients -  social health and community groups - directly and suggested we apply for project funding together, showing the sort of thing I’d like to do with them. And when the first one worked this was the beginning of my make:good portfolio. I was also a NESTA awardee.

“It’s a much longer journey than I expected but I’m still able to feel joy when it goes well and learning something when things don’t go according to plan. And the main thing is I’m in control and I’m doing what I want to do.”
