Ideas Igloo roadshows
Innovator Alex Tew is leading a search for hidden entrepreneurs in colleges and universities across the UK as the face of the Ideas Igloo roadshows, coordinated by the Make Your Mark campaign in partnership with Microsoft UK.The new initiative, which launched in Enterprise Week 2007, will visit 18 UK colleges and universities over the next six months and aims to inspire innovation and ideas generation amongst further and higher education students.
Students will visit the giant inflatable igloos on campus for workshop sessions designed to help them generate ideas and think about how to turn them into a reality. Later in the day, they will get the opportunity to pitch their ideas in front of a panel of judges, including entrepreneur Alex Tew, for the chance to win a prize of £150. The winners will go forward to a national final, where they’ll compete to win £2,000 plus a package of Microsoft products to help them get their business underway.
