Students! Make Your Mark

Students! Make Your MarkMaking something happen with your enterprising ideas whilst at college or university is a creative way to earn money on your own terms, pay off debts, learn new skills and make useful contacts.

Or you might want to make social or environmental change - like Jamie Oliver’s 15 or The Big Issue - with your own enterprising idea. Whether you’ve got ‘a big idea’ yourself or an interest in working creatively get involved now.

The campaign aims to stimulate student networks - to inspire and encourage creativity and provide an outlet for ideas. Ideas cannot happen in isolation and collaboration via networks can bring together the right mix of people, skills and experience needed to turn ideas into reality.

“Starting up a business or venture while you are at university or college is an amazing experience”, says campaign ambassador and founder of Oxford Entrepreneurs, Rajeeb Day.

“It’s a perfect time to try out ideas: there’s a massive network of other young people to bounce ideas off, you have few responsibilities like mortgages to worry about and above all it gives you skills and experience that will be valuable in the world of work if you don’t make your first million before you leave!”
