Bright Sparks award
The Lowestoft Journal and the Make Your Mark Campaign are currently looking for young people between the ages of 14 and 30, who have made an impression at school, work or in the community to be the recipient of a monthly Bright Sparks award. Perhaps they have developed a new idea, found a new way of working or promoted a project in a positive way.
Achievements highlighted over the next few months will culminate with an overall winner in the 2007 Bright Sparks awards.
To enter please download and fill in the competition entry form (Word doc) and attach an explanation telling us, in no more than 300 words, why this person is a 'Bright Spark'.

Kevin Oldman began work at Denes Community Sports Centre, as a member of the evening reception staff at the age of 18. Sophie Jackson

Sophie Jackson has come a long way since working in Thorntons, even a shop full of chocolate couldn't stop her from achieving her dreams. After a short training course in 2003, Sophie was encouraged to start writing freelance history articles, which were lapped up by various magazines including the Medieval History Magazine and Sutton Publishing offered her a deal to write the Medieval Christmas.
