Make Your Mark in Fashion

Make Your Mark in Fashion launches in September 2007 and is a national competition to encourage young people to create, make and sell an ethical fashion range. The website will be launching at the end of June.


Make Your Mark in Music

Make Your Mark in Music launches in October 2007 with a high-profile competition encouraging mass youth engagement in all areas of the music industry. 

Partnership with Museums, Libraries and Archives

Museums, Libraries and Archives (MLA) has joined forces with Make Your Mark to promote an enterprising culture in MLA facilities. A ‘Call to Action’ brochure will be distributed in June 2007 to all museums, libraries and archives around the UK. Check out the brochure on the MLA website.

Intellectual property awareness campaign

We have endorsed the How Not to Get Ripped Off DVD, produced by Own It - Creative London’s intellectual property (IP) advice service. We are also represented on the national CREATE Group, which identifies current government and industry activity around IP. Check out our IP guide for young creators

Creative Industries Ambassadors Network

This network is for entrepreneurs under 30 who have made their mark in the creative industries. A publication featuring our young ambassadors is being developed to raise the aspirations of young people and encourage them to make their ideas happen in the creative sector.

Women In Games roundtable

Women in Games will be ongoing programme throughout 2007/2008 to give a voice to women in the computer games industry and provide networking opportunities for women contributing to the sector. We will hold our first roundtable on 11 Jult 2007 at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

NESTA research

NESTA is partnering with Make Your Mark on a joint research project exploring the enterprising opportunities for SMEs and young people interested or working in the creative industries. The report will be published January 2008.

Creative Economy and Enterprise Group

We have formed a group of sector specialists to advise Skillset and Creative and Cultural Skills on the development of an enterprise component of the Creative and Media Diploma 14 -19.

Creative and Enterprising Minds film

We are in discussion with an entrepreneur and psychologist, to develop a 6 minute film exploring the traits of entrepreneurship and the journey of an enterprising mind within the creative industries. The DVD will be included in a schools’ resource pack for Creative Partnerships’ Ideas That Can Change the World programme.
